The Scotties Tournament of Hearts – Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Womens Curling Championships are set to take place in the St. John’s Curling Club next week. The provincial championship will see five rinks from St. John’s compete for the title, including three former champions.

Stacie Devereaux, defending champ who hails from the Bally Haly club will be headlining the lineup. She’ll have tough competition from Shelley Nichols and Heather Strong who have both won the championshipo.

Stephanie Guzzwell of the St. John’s Curling club and Beth Hamilton also of Bally Haly are the other teams who will see action.

The winner of this tournament will go on to represent Newfoundland and Labrador at the 2014 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Montreal from February 1-9.
