Two women battling for the Scotties provincial women’s curling championship at the St. John’s Curling Club are still undefeated. Both Heather Strong and Shelley Nichols are top of the rankings with 2-0 records. They are followed by the rink of Beth Hamilton at 1-2 and Stephanie Guzzwell at 1-1. Defending Champion Devereaux is 03.

Strong is no stranger to being champion. Her rink won the provincial championship in 2012. In draw 2, she stole 4 in the sixth end to take an 8-4 win over Guzzwell.

Hamilton needed and extra end to steal a single point from her Bally Haly colleague and win her match 7-6.

Nichols won over Hamilton 7-5 in Draw 3 while Guzzwell squeaked by Devereaux 6-5.
