Titans Win Invitational Basketball Tournament

The Corner Brook Titans win gold at the 2012 Subway Sackville Kingfisher Classic Basketball Tournament held in Sackville, NS this past weekend.

The Titans went undefeated through the tournament led by the tournament’s most valuable player Ryan Harnett.  The Titans averaged 25 points per game through the round robin play.

Game one of the tournament saw the Titans defeat the Sackville High School Kingfishers by a score of 110-88.  Harnett picked up 30 points in the victory with teammates Jay Warford and Adam Bursey tossing 17 points each.

In their next match-up, the Titans defeated the Central King Gators by a s core of 83-60.  Graham Kenney and Ryan Park both picked up 17 points with Harnett adding 11 for the victors.

Game three saw the Titans dump the North Hants Flames by a score of 100-69.  Jordan Penny scored 25 points for the Titans.

The championship matchup saw the Titans defeat the Prince Andrew Panthers 94-71 for the victory and championship.  Jordan Penney was named player of the game in the Championship, sinking 25 points for the winners while teammate Adam Bursey drained 20.
