St. John’sIceCaps Fall Short in Comeback

TheSt. John’sIceCaps fell short in their comeback attempt, losing to the Springfield Falcons by a score of 5-3 on Friday night at Mile One Centre.

After trailing 3-1 heading into the third period, the IceCaps battled back to tie the score at 3-3.  However, it wasn’t meant to be asSpringfield’s Cam Atkinson scored with just 4:06 remaining in regulation time to put the Falcons up 4-3.  The Falcons scored an empty netter to take a 5-3 victory, dropping the IceCaps to 11-11-0-1.

St. John’sgoalie Eddie Pasquale made 23 saves, losing his eight game of the season.
