NL Baseball Team Roster Released for Canada Games

NL Canada Games baseball team Head Coach Sean Gulliver of St. John’s and Assistant Coaches Frank Humber of Corner Brook and Mark Healy of St. John’s have selected the players who will make up the final roster for the 2013 Canada Games in Sherbrooke, Quebec.

The players are Daniel Humber, Michael McWhirter and Travis Taylor of Corner Brook; Adam Pardy of Grand Falls-Windsor; Matthew Flynn, Shane Barnes, and Colton Collins of Gander; Zach Coombs and Bradley Riggs of Upper Island Cove ; Tyler Hennessey and Bradley Porter of Conception Bay South; Colin Hunt of Mount Pearl; Tyler Boland, Andrew Paul, Redmond Hunt, Randy Reid, Parker Gulliver, Zack Fitzpatrick, Dylan MacKenzie, and Matt Murphy of St.John’s.

The NL Terra Novas will be training indoors through the winter and early spring. Plans are for the team to host an Atlantic Provinces Canada Games teams tournament in July and travel to a similar tournament in Nova Scotia also in July.

The NL Canada Games team will be playing in a pool with PEI, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Manitoba and Saskatchewan. Opening game for the Terra Novas is on August 3rd against PEI. Games will be played from August 3 to August 10.
