The St. John’s IceCaps won its third straight game on Friday night in part largely due to the strong play of goaltender Eddie Pasquale.  The netminder stopped 24 shots to earn his second shutout in three games and the 1-0 victory over the Albany Devils.  The lone goal of the game was scored by Zach Redmond, a powerplay marker in the second period.

The IceCaps put off its strongest defensive effort of the season, allowing just 24 shot.  What’s even more impressive is the IceCaps have now killed off 22 straight penalties over the last five games played.  The St. John’s squad is also showing improvement offensively, having now scored a powerplay goal in the last four games.

The IceCaps take their short winning streak into Wilkes-Barre/Scraton to face the penguins when league action resumes tomorrow night.
