Grand Falls-Windsor Cataracts Win 2

The Grand Falls-Windsor Cataracts continued their winning ways as they defeated the Gander Flyers in a pair of weekend games in the Newfoundland and Labrador Senior Hockey League.

On Saturday night, the Cataracts won their 16th game of the season, winning by a score of 5-4.  On Sunday afternoon, the Cataracts won 4-3 but it took a shoot-out to determine teh victors after Shane Boland tied the game at three late in the third period.

After this weekend, the Cataracts sit in first place with 34 ponts.  More importantly, the shoot-out loss for the Gander Flyers secures them a single point, placing them in fourth in the league, clinging to the last playoff spot.
