With the Grand Falls-Windsor Cataracts nine-game winning streak on the line, the Clarenville Caribous stepped up big time, ending the Cataracts streak with a 5-2 victory.  The Clarenville players rallied to salvage a weekend split on home ice and hand the Cataracts its first loss of the season.

Scoring for the victors were Paul Roebothan, Mark Roebothan, Andrew Sweetland, Ryan Deserioser and Dustin Russell.  Michael Brent and Andrew Pearcey replied for the Cataracts.

Even with the loss, the Grand Falls-Windsor squad still sits in first place in the Newfoundland and Labrador Senior Hockey League (NLSHL) with a record of 9-1.
