Cataracts and Royals Sweep Weekend Series

The Western Royals swept the Gander Flyers in a weekend series of the Newfoundland and Labrador Senior Hockey League (NLSHL).  On Saturday night, the Royals dumped the Flyers by a score of 6-3.  Darren Langdon and Mark Robinson both scored twice for the Royals.

Sunday afternoon was a much closer game as the Royals came away 3-2 winners over the Flyers.

In other league action, the Grand Falls-Windsor Cataracts continued their winning ways, defeating the Conception Bay Cee Bee Stars on Friday night by a score on 5-3.  The Cats also won Saturday night by a score of 5-3.  Andre Gill scored 3 times for the winners, improving their record to 15-1 for the season.
